Students can access the internet and the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ network from our 24 hour computer centre, from their room, or wirelessly from almost anywhere on the main ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ site.

Kwok Room computer centre

You'll find the Kwok Room on the ground floor of the Quincentenary Library. The 25 computers in the Kwok Room run the latest version of Microsoft Windows and support a number of applications, including the latest version of Microsoft Office. They all have DVD writers, widescreen LCD monitors, and plenty of USB sockets.

All the computers are networked, with access to the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ and University networks, as well as to the internet. You'll be given an account with a large amount of secure personal disk space which is regularly backed up. Computers can be used at any time of the day or night, all year round.

ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ network

Every student room has a high speed wired network connection to the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ. WiFi internet access is also available virtually everywhere in the ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ via the . You can access the internet, your ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵÎÛ home space, the , and the University’s network and associated resources.
